Carbon Ceramic Engineering in Bayreuth!

In January 2023, REBRAKE opens its new production facility in Bayreuth, Bavaria. In the former laboratories of the University of Bayreuth, we will now be able to recondition your carbon-ceramic brake discs faster and more effectively.
Effective immediately, Rebrake is using an innovative new process to restore carbon-ceramic brake discs—a process we developed in collaboration with the Department of Ceramic Materials at the University of Bayreuth and for which we have filed a patent application. This new procedure not only significantly reduces processing time—from approximately 45 days to, at best, 15 days of pure processing time—but also represents a substantial improvement in quality compared to the previous procedure. The brake rotors are now being coated with a new friction layer that is significantly more durable, fills in and smooths out chips and cracks, and restores the rotor to its original thickness and weight. None of this was possible with the old, outdated process; nevertheless, we continue to conduct ongoing research and development to incorporate improvements and new innovative findings.
