With Rebrake’s patented Si/SiC friction coating, even completely worn-out brake discs can be recoated; C/SiC discs without a friction coating can also be coated accordingly (e.g., for Ferrari or McLaren vehicles intended for racetrack use). Since this friction layer contains almost no carbon and is nearly as hard as diamond, wear on such discs will approach zero in the future.

5. Get your brake disc repaired and returned

Many people believe that the coating applied to a worn brake disc could peel off or detach under heavy use. This is not the case, because our patented liquid siliconization process creates a reactive, indissoluble bond between the silicon carbide friction layer and the substrate at a temperature of approximately 1,500 degrees Celsius. That is why we offer a 6-month warranty on the structural integrity of our work. However, this applies only to brake discs that are no more than 5 years old.
